Juniper

Juniper, fondly known as June.

Juniper’s info from her owner: Juniper is a Siberian Husky mix [we did embark dna test 50% Siberian Husky] who just turned 3 in November. We took her in at 8 months old as a rehome, and we have put a lot of time training her and loving her. She is literally the best dog I could ask for but she has nipped my youngest in the face, more info on the “nipping” will be provided by owner to any new potential owners). Juniper doesn’t like to be bothered by little kids. She is overly anxious with little kids. She needs a home that will not have any young kids under 12 and people who can respect her boundaries. We are a house full of little kids coming and going, and it’s not fair for her to not to really have a safe space.

This absolutely breaks my heart so much. She is such a chill dog, who just wants to be at your feet, explore the woods with you, ride next to you on a bike. She’sseriously so chill, she isn’t the type of dog who NEEDS to go out daily for a long walk to be chill, but she does love getting out. She’s not vocal very quiet. She loves to swim, and fetch balls in the lake. If she’s not crated periodically she regresses on her crate training. She can be left when you leave the house and will not destroy anything, we have left her for 6 hours and no issues. Except food on the counter, she won’t get on them if you are home… but if she knows you’re not home she will. She will allow you to cut her nails and brush her coat.

She does not do well with cats, and isn’t the BEST with other dogs. She doesn’t play well in groups of 3+ and try’s to over correct dogs playing without her. We call her the mother hen, but she’s really just bossy. Often times she wants to rush a new dog upon first seeing them, and make sure they know she’s the boss. She has rude behavior to start but we use the E collar to correct her before she gets too bossy. Many dogs don’t love the way she comes off at first. She’s been around 20+ dogs and we have gotten it down with her. I can explain more.

She walks okay on a leash, she knows Heel, but likes to push that often. She is dog reactive on a leash, mostly just out of excitement and frustration. She’s potty trained, e collar off leash trained, knows sit, stay, down, off, head down, sit pretty, drop, speak, and left(will sit on your left side).

She is only missing her a Bordetella vaccination. She’s on a RAW diet but will eat kibble.  Will be a rehoming fee. She is microchipped. New owner must agree to give her back before rehoming.
