Sunny - Adopted
Sunny is a dog who will brighten any day.
The incredible and Beautiful Sunny is in need of a new home. Here is Sunny’s story from her foster mom: Sunny’s Texas family was visiting the Bend, OR area the summer of 2023, and Sunny became lost. She was picked up and taken to the Humane Society. Her family would not pay for her shipping or come and get her. When this became apparent after 3 months, she was adopted by an elderly gentlemen (90) who died on on hospice services about three weeks ago. She was alone in the home for just over a week, although a neighbor came and fed her. There is no family to take her. I rescued her, she was an unhappy camper at first, and didn’t get along with my dogs, (can you blame her, she just lost her family). We took her to my vet and she had a UTI – since that has been treated she is feeling better, and is a really sweet girl. She still does not interact with my remaining dog much (I had to put my other dog down the day after I got Sunny) but they eat together, and walk together with no issues. Her rabies, parvo and Bordetella expired 6/21/24, so I am getting that done tomorrow 7/3. She is microchipped. Her age is unknown, but when she was adopted they estimated 6-8 years, so the best guess now is 7-9 years old? I feel like she would be best placed into a home where she would be an only dog, but I no longer feel like this is an absolute must. A dog introduction will need to be done. It would be wonderful to find her a kind and loving home. Sunny is currently living in LaPine, OR.
